Fitting Anti-Cast Strips

How to measure
The height of your anti-cast strips will depend on the size of your horse (this is usually between 90cm and 130cm from floor level.)

Sometimes this can be determined by any scrape marks on the stable walls.

Measure from just below the upper marks on the wall and mark the wall at this height all the way round the stable.

How to fix
Fix the strips in place using the Fixing Kit (screws and washers) supplied.

For brick or breeze block walls you will need to drill through the strip and insert wall plugs.

Hold the strip against the wall, then insert the screws with washers on (approximately 20cm apart along the strip.)

Do not overtighten the screws, but do ensure that they are pulling the strip tightly against the wall.

As you work around the stable, cut the strips to the desired length using a craft knife or saw.

These strips can be fixed to the stable door too, if necessary.

Check the strips regularly. If there are any signs of damage, apply more fixings or replace them as required.
